The Practitioner’s manual tells you all you need to know to use the Starting Out programme. There are different versions depending on whether you wish to use Starting Out in an Early Years setting, Children’s Centre or School. These are colour-coded the same as the four Starting Out components.
This A5 booklet is an ideal accompaniment to the Activity Sacks. With age appropriate child and brain development knowledge presented in a parent friendly way and additional ideas for activities.
The Starting Out Tracking book has been created to help practitioners keep a clear overview of the services being engaged by families, as well as tracking the progress that children are making. This resource is an easy way of keeping records in one place and helping Practitioners to identify further ways of supporting families.
The ‘All About Me’ learning journal has been designed as a perfect tool to help include children and parents in recording their child’s progress, at the same time as having fun. This cost-effective resource provides age-appropriate ideas for activities, brain facts for parents and plenty of space for the child to express themselves. In addition, the journal doubles as a solution for valid tracking and record keeping of the child’s progress.
Each Activity Sack includes an Activity Card. In case of damage, loss or for creative and alternative uses of the Starting Out resources, Activity Cards can be purchased separately.
